Jeremiah 29:11-14(AMP)
Hi and welcome to Found by You: Lessons on Living in uncertain times!
This verse does not find Jeremiah in the best of times. Actually it finds him in the worst of times. He was discouraged as he looked at the epic story yet to be written. God delivered this promise to him as he was staring down so much uncertainty.
God reminds Jeremiah of the promise that he would find him as he searched for him. He would never be on his own no matter the battle he had to face. God spoke peace and well-being. He promised him hope. Not when things were perfect but as there were battles yet to be won.
Back in March of 2020 our nation came to a virtual standstill. We were hunkered down in our homes not able to do much other than a quick run to the store. We were also, spending more time together than most of us ever have. After the sheen of togetherness wore off, some(like me) began looking for projects to keep busy. As I was doing some organizing and cleaning, I found a bunch of journals taking me through all the life transitions, the highs, and lows, kids small, kids grown(or just about grown).
There were such rich stories of God showing up in unexpected through all of the transitions. I found myself encouraged, yet again. I often went back to those stories during those first months of the pandamic, when the fear and stress of our world in crisis became overwhelming. I began putting together some of those stories and tah-dah this short devotional was created for you, for me. Anyone who needs to be reminded of God’s continued presense when life is unpredictable.
Iโm so excited to share! Itโs my prayer that it encourages you and brings you hope in these uncertain times.
