After years of walking, praying, wrestling, and writing… I finally get to share this with you.
This is more than a book.
This is a journey.
Surrounded: What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do was written in the quiet moments…
in the early mornings…
on lon
and in the middle of real-life battles where I truly didn’t know what to do—except look up.
📖 Rooted in 2 Chronicles 20:12
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
This book is for the woman who feels surrounded—
by fear, by pressure, by grief, by uncertainty…
And gently reminds her:
✨ You are also surrounded by the presence of God. ✨ Refined and defined by Love, Hope & grace. That’s the glimmer when uncertainty, fears and doubts come in like a flood 🌊
I’ve poured my heart into these pages—
the raw, the honest, the hopeful.
And today… I finally get to show you the cover. 🥹

✨Surrounded Declaration🌊 The ocean is where I retu ✨Surrounded Declaration🌊
The ocean is where I return when I need a space to breathe. But what if I took it deeper and made it a silent retreat. Just me, the ocean, God… and my phone.
What would happen in this quiet?
Silence is scary. It was for me. During that chapter the only time I was quiet was at the movies or asleep. I wasn’t sure what to do.
But when I finally stopped wrestling with this “sacred listening,” something shifted. In the quiet, I felt permission to begin writing.
𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘰 𝘋𝘰 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘰 𝘋𝘰
The ocean, my backyard, even my living room became a places I return to write Surrounded and to hear reminders of God’s love, grace, and healing. It was there that, even when I didn’t know what to do, repair and rebuilding were already happening.
If you are doing your own repair and rebuild, and you need this reminder, this for you:
✨Surrounded Declaration✨📖
I am surrounded by love, even in the places that feel empty.
I am surrounded by grace, even when I fall short of my own expectations.
I am surrounded by purpose, even when I can’t see the full picture.
I am surrounded by beauty and reminded of His goodness. 🪷✨
What is God rebuilding in you? 🌅
Save this reminder or send to someone who may need this. 🦋

“How you gonna win when you ain’t right within?” “How you gonna win when you ain’t right within?”
There’s a quiet war in our minds involving the sneaky lies that take root when you’re weary. These whispers say, “You’re not enough,” or “It’s too late for you.” For me, those lies moved me into panic, often closing my ability to see God’s prespective.
You may be a mom, a professional or a caregiver, those are your assignments and they may change. But your identity is “Beloved.” You were known and celebrated by God before you ever took your breath.
I wrote Surrounded for the reader who is tired of of feeling “not enough for some” and “too much for others.” I realized that the longer I embraced this, the harder it became to recognize what was happening underneath.
When striving defines purpose and smiles hide deep wounds, it wasn’t just emotional fatigue; it was identity fatigue. Naming that truth was the first breath of relief.
Have you felt this way? If so,take a breath. 💨
There’s more for you here. 🙏🏾
What if we stepped into each new day trusting that God is leading us to new beginnings? A new sense of trust in our masterpiece status.
Who you are is rooted in who God says you are, not what you do. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us the we are a masterpiece. That we are made new. Everyday. Yesterday is old. But today, is new.
We can be exhausted by our circumstances but we are surrounded by clarity about who we are:
Created. Celebrated. Loved. No mean words by others or expectations of perfection, demotion or promotion can move that holy bar.
Put 🧘🏽‍♂️in the comment if you’re breathing in this truth today.
Selah. 🙏🏾

🌿What do you do when life catches you off guard? 🌿What do you do when life catches you off guard?
When the mountain in front of you feels too big and the loss, anxiety, and uncertainty feels more than you can hold?
Looking back during those times, I can see God’s gentle hand surrounding me in the darkest times.
This verse in 2 Chronicles 20:12 was a steady reminder that I could hold fear and yet be faithful.
Jesus in his goodness and love has the capacity to hold both. 🤍
Surrounded was written during those times of searching: quiet moments in my back yard, in early mornings walks and yes sometimes off the beaten path running with Jesus. 🏃🏾‍♀️
It grew from moments I stopped pretending I had it all together and needed to the One who could help me hold it together.
So if you’re walking an unknown road, Keep Your Eyes Up.

🦋 Why the butterfly? A dear friend recently asked 🦋 Why the butterfly?
A dear friend recently asked me why the butterfly holds such a special place in my heart.
To me, it’s a symbol of resilience, strength, and purpose. Just like my mom. 💜
They never linger long, yet bring beauty, presence and purpose wherever they go. Every time I see one, I’m reminded that her energy and spirit live on in me. I can offer the same in my own way.
On October 31, 2020, my sweet mom went home to be with Jesus. She taught me how to worship through the hard stuff—how to keep walking with Him, even when life doesn’t make sense. 🙏🏾
She was deeply loved by us…and by her community. I miss her every single day.
If you see anything praiseworthy or excellent in me, I most likely learned it from her. 💖
I wish you could have met her. 🌸
Forever loving you, Mom. 🦋
